CHKDSK results not in winlogon

winlogon is empty. So are:
DiskDiagnostic
DiskDiagnosticDataCollector
DiskDiagnosticResolver

Where do I find the CHKDSK results?

Control Panel> classic view> Admin Tools> Event Viewer>(prompt)> left
panel, click the pointer in front of Windows Logs> under Windows Logs,
click Application> middle column, scroll till you find either Chkdsk, or
Wininit,

Everything in your post is correct up to this point.

click it> right column,under chkdsk, or event 1001, click Event
properties. There is your log of chkdsk results.
Please reply whether it works or not.

Clicking Application brings up a window with four panes.
The left pane is the Event Viewer tree.
The right pane is headed "Actions".

In the middle are two panes stacked vertically.
The top pane has five columns. I scrolled down until I found Wininit
under the third column (Source). The fourth column (Event Id) showed
1001 in this row.
The lower pane shows the details of the event selected in the upper pane.

Clicking on the row in the upper pane, or clicking on "Event Properties"
in the right pane under "Event 1001, Wininit" brings up a pop-up window
with the details of the event. This is better formatted than the details
in the lower pane,

The Vista check disk log can be found as follows: Go to Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Application. Scroll down
the Application Events looking for Wininit in the Source Column. You can also
use Find in the right column to help locate each Wininit entry. Open Wininit
and there it is. Here is one of my Wininit logs:
