Check Names is not scanning other address books

Hi,

I am running Outlook 2003 SP3 using Exchange 2003 (Non-Cache). Recently
myself and some of the users have noticed when you type a email and click
the "Check Names" function it does not scan past the GAL. I have been using
the smart tags and did not notice that the Check Names was not scanning past
the GAL so I am not when this problem started.

For example: I start a new email and enter "John" then click the "Check
Names" button or Tools > Check Names. I will get a pop-up window suggesting
names from our Global Addess Book but not the "john" from my person address
book, "Contacts".

I have verified that the "Show this Folder" is checked off under my personal
"Contact" . One thing I did notice is when I got into Tools > Address Book
or CTRL + SHIFT + B then Tools > Option while in Address Book, and change
the order of Address List to Scan my personal contacts first that it will not
scan the GAL when I click "Check Names" and only offer what is in my personal
contacts. I have verify that this is the same problem for all the users that
I have talked to.

*Sorry for if there is too much info. I tried to give as much detail as
possible.

Outlook stops searching if it finds a match. Since it found several matches
in the GAL, it didn't look any farther.

Same thing. If your Contacts folder is searched first and contains an
entry, Outlook stops searching. Only if there is no entry in one contact
folder will it continue searching the next in line.
