Check if a CD was activated

Hello!
I have original Windows XP Prof. OEM CD with "Certification of
Authenticity". Is there a way to check if this CD( or Product Key) was
activated in Microsoft or registered?

Not without installing it. If you are prompted to that XP has been installed
too many times and you are prompted to make phone call activation, the
version you have has been previously activated. OEM versions are licensed
for use on a single computer with allowances for hardware upgrades [except
for a non-OEM or direct replacement MB] and reinstallation on the same
system.
