chat room voice

i cannot get vioce in chat rooms...ie yahoo...i get errors such as your
computer does not recognize the uncompressed audio or cannot start audio
mixer...etc..i know it has something to do with group truespeech but i'm not
sure how to install that and make it work. i tried downloading from codec.com
and unzipping it to system 32 but that did not help. does anybody have any
suggestions?

Using voice in Yahoo chat requires nothing more than a properly installed
and working soundcard, a microphone and speakers or computer headset, and a
visit to the Yahoo audio wizard..

I am having the same problem. I just gotten a GateWay GT5032 and I can
get the regular chatroom section but no voice chat buttons. And when I
went to the FAQs none of that applies to me. I have the current Java
and I have the voice yahoo messanger. Now I did the voice wizard and
that is all a go. But yet I get no voice chat buttons. I have emailed
the yahoo's at yahoo and all I get is the monkey replying me. I want a
human being to email me. I know that its the robot monkey beacuse I
have gotten the same email 3 times. And what gets me is that when I
click down at the bottom of the yahoo chat room it says that I dont
have the newest form of Microsoft VM. Now when I got to the link I get
the website that states basicly there is no more VM to go to the Java.


I would glady accept any advice
