We are changing ISP's as above.
Before today the computer was setup on roadrunner pop-server.austin.rr.com.
The computer is now setup on pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com. We left the roadrunner
pop and smpt on so she can receive her email from her previous email account
on roadrunner. My machine is setup running Outlook Exrpess on XP Pro and is
operating corectly so far.
However, on my wifes machine running Outlook on XP Pro, when she try's to
send a message it comes back with the message on the Outlook "send/receive
progress window". (See message at bottom ot the post.)
Task 'pop-server.austin.rr.com - Sending reported error (0X80042109) :
'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (smtp) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
internet service provider.
Well, she has received this message many times. I have called the ISP twice
and they say that the internet sservice is working proerly. they said to
contact the Microsoft about what is wrong with the Outlook program.
Message:
This says that Outlook is trying to send the message on roadrunner. But It
is connected to sbcglobal servers. I have checked several times and the
machine default is setup on the sbcglobal servers in the email account
section. She is receiving email OK.

Thank you Vincent Isabelle I found a second level at SBC who solved the
problem. He opened the port 25 on our account at the sbc computer to let the
traffic through. Problem solved. Bluebird
