Changing default error message

A

Is there are way to change one of the default error messages such as
this one:

"You or another user may have unexpectedly quit Microsoft Office
Access while a Microsoft Office Access database was open.
Do you want Microsoft Office Access to attempt to repair the database"

Basically, I just want to add some additional instructions to the
above. The error message appears @ startup.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sharon

Hi Sharon,

You shouldn't be getting this type of message at startup. It almost sounds
like Access has detected a flag set within the .mdb file indicating possible
corruption. Is this a multi-user Access application? If so, have you split
the database into two .mdb files? One is commonly known as a "front-end" (FE)
and the other the "back-end" (BE). The FE file contains all queries, forms,
reports, macros, modules and any unshared tables; a copy of the FE is
installed on each user's local hard drive. The BE typically contains only the
tables with the shared data, and is placed in a folder on a file server. For
more information about splitting and best practices, please see my Multi-User
Applications paper, available here:
