I am setting up a word document.
This will be used as a template
In this document I wish to insert the same "name" throughtout this document.
Is it possible to change the name in one spot and all of the others change
automatically

thanks

Hi,

You can create a bookmark that contains the name in one place by selecting
the name when you create the bookmark. Then insert REF fields to the bookmark
in the other places. See office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HP051861391033.aspx
for more information about the use of the REF field.

When you change the name, you will have to be careful not to delete the
bookmark. One way to do this is to change the inner letters of the name and
then delete the first and last letters. After you change the bookmarked name,
you will need to update the REF fields to change it everywhere. This can be
done by pressing Ctrl+A and then pressing F9.
