Changed Alias in Exchange 2003

I created an active dir account and with an alias of JOHND (for John Doe).
After the account was created I realized I made a mistake and wanted it to be
JDOE. I changed the exchange alias and it all looks good however when I try
to link to the exchange server Global address, it still comes up as JOHND.
Where is this "cn=" record found and how can I change it?

The address book doesn't get updated instantly on an Exchange server. This
is done by a maintenance schedule. Additionally you can check the value of
LegacyExchangeDN with the ADSI Edit tool.
