Change My Pictures as default

When I save an image I do not want to save it in My Pictures
which opens as default. How do I change the default to a folder of my
choice?

You can right click on desktop---select new--and create a new folder. Then
when you click save on a picture save it to your new folder. Does this
answer your question?

AFAIK you can't easily change the default for image saves in windows itself,
but most programs will have an option to change the default that particular
program saves to. Check for an Options or Preferences setting.

Actually, I'd recommend keeping your images in My Pictures; just create the
folder you want under My Pictures, and then when it shows the default to
save to, your new folder will be right there to click on. You can add as
many folders as you wish to have there.

What happens is that once a new folder is made and a save is made, windows
remembers where the save was made. The next time a picture is to be saved
Windows will have the new folder as the destination set.

I have hundreds of thousands of clipart images. I don't want to use
My Pictures for them. I use it for photos etc... and My Pictures
screensaver slideshow. I was just trying to make it as easy as possible.
Thanks.

Thanks for trying but just making another folder won't help.
I need it to default to my clipart folder everytime.
