Change multiple file types all at once

I have all my wedding pictures in a folder within the My Pictures folder and
they are all saved as a jpeg. In order for me to make a memories disc in my
HP Imaging software, they have to be Image File format, and since there is
over 200 pictures, I'm trying to figure out how to change the file extension
on all of them at the same time as opposed to each one individually, which
would be rather time consuming.

The reason being for this is so that I can burn these onto disc and it will
appear as a slide show and will startup automatically when the disc is
inserted in the drive. Also It will play as a slide show on any dvd player.

Also if anyone knows of an option built into windows xp, that will do this,
as opposed to using a seperate imaging program, I will be up to those
suggestions too.

Thank You

I suggest you re-think your strategy.

Simply changing a file extension from .jpeg to .img does not convert the file
format.

Windows XP has no facility for converting graphics files.

Download IrfanView(free) which has a batch convertor feature.

Also has a slide show feature that would probably work as well with .jpeg
files as your HP Imaging software would with .img files.

I know you can save the .jpeg slideshow to CD. Not sure about DVD.

My HP camera came with Memories Disk Creator.
It creates a slide show with jpg files.
The CD also plays on DVD.
