Change file comments

Is it possible to change the Comments on a file that are stored in the file
header in Windows XP? How?

To see Comments, open a directory in Explorer, right click on the folder
bar, and check "Comments."

Thank you.

I'm not sure where you're right clicking in Windows Explorer, because I
don't see "Comments" anywhere. What do you mean by "file header"?

Right click the file > Properties > Summary tab

Good Luck, Ayush.

Thanks, yes, this is it. I used to know how to do this but today for some
reason I didn't click on the Summary tab.

OK, now I am in business again.

Lanwench,

In Explorer open a directory in the right hand window.

Then Right click on the bar where is probably says "Name," "Type," "Size,"
and so on your computer.

You will see a list of all the file attributes that can be displayed by
Explorer.

Check the ones you want.

Maybe "Comments" is one of them. You could use it to annotate the files in
your directories. Where they came from, their status, and so on.

The information below from Ayush says how to change the Comments.

Ah, got it. You're talking about tags on individual files....not folders. I
was confused.
