CF Change Out

Richard

Okay, Don't throw rocks at me for asking this question, I'd rather be safe.
I've been using Sandisk Industrial 256 MB CF and since they stop making them
I had to find another manufacturer, Silicon Systems.

My Stored Golden Disk Image is that of a Sandisk, that had been partitioned
and formated on the Target, then Xpe was copied over and configured the way
I wanted it. Now, I have copied this image to the Silicon Systems 256 mb CF
and it "appears" to work just fine.

BTW, I Use DD to copy the entire disk. Is there any problem that you know
of that I use this previous Image on the new CF?

Thanks,
Richard

If for some reson there is small size difference between those two disks
then their geometry might differ as well and it would be a cause for system
not booting.
Since is boots then you should be ok.

If you have doubts then prepare new CF from DOS as you did with first CF.
Then do file copy from old CF to new one.

Thanks,
I better be safe and do the whole 9 yards. It will give me an excuse to add
some features.
