Hi,
I'm having a hard time finding out how to stop the text
contents of one cell (say A1 containing the text "the
quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog") from running
into its neighbours (A2:A4). Unlike with numerical entries
(which are shortened if the cell's too small), text
entries (formatted as Text or General) run on & on until
they either run out of text or hit a filled cell. I don't
want to wrap the text at all - I just want the visible
text to be limited to the width of the cell (e.g.: "the
quick"), without having to add in extra, dummy columns of
space-bar 'contents' next to each column of long text. Any
ideas about how to limit what is seen?
Thanks.
