"Cell border" appearing around edited cell

Hi p45cal,

Thanks for replying.

Re zoom etc - haven't tried that. NB in behaving like track changes - the
new 'border' remains visible during current session. Then on save and reopen
the 'border' no longer appears around previous edits, but now only appears
around any subsequent new edits. And only for this user...

Unfortunately, I don't think it is a screen refresh issue, but to be sure
I'll have to check this.
Is there any code in the workbook at all?
Not necessarily. It can happen in new and old xls files.

I'm intrigued now because I thought the user had merely switched into some
obscure edit mode or similar. From the response so far (ie not much), it
would seem it's not as simple as that.

Cheers,

Andy

You say it's a temporary border, does it go away when you change zoom
levels? Does it go away if you switch to another sheet and back?
I'd like to bet it's the screen not refreshing properly and that's
often due to a shortage of available memory, it have been eaten up by a
lot of other sheets or open apps. or not a lot of memory on board in the
first place.

Is there any code in the workbook at all?
