CD-RW not working

Hi

I am running XP Home and recently I have lost my
recording tab under properties for my CD-RW drive so I
cannot drag and drop into the drive as I could a week or
so ago.

I need to get at it to check that enable CD recording is
checked.

I have checked the key in the registry and set drive type
to 2 (as it was anyway) and this has made no difference.

I have also checked that IMAPI cd burning is running in
services.

I have also checked for a new driver (drive Toshiba SD-
R5112) but Toshiba say that it is natively supported by
the driver that comes with XP (ie the one im using).

The drive burns fine with specialist software but this is
inconvenient as it so much slower.

If anyone could suggest anyway I might get the recording
tab back I would be really grateful as I really think Ive
tried everything now.

Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried this and it
doesnt recognise that a recorder is connected. This is
presumably because it uses XP to do the recording.
