I recently purchased a new PC CD-ROM, Harry Potter. After
installing the game, we selected new game, it plays for a
little while and then the screen goes blank and then my
computer restarts. Any suggestions of how I can correct
this problem?

what mobo/cpu/memory/vidcard & driver version/sound card/os & version/ are
you using ?
start by updating all drivers to the latest. how old is your pc? try
cleaning all the dust from it and checking all components are seated
correctly is all i can suggest at the moment

Hi Jen,

Your system is most likely restarting as a result of a STOP error.

To stop this behavior go to Control Panel / System / Advanced /
Click the Startup and Recovery Settings button / Uncheck the box
labelled "Automatically restart" under the System Failure section.

If the error indicates a file name that begins with ati, or nv (nVidia)
the most likely solution would be to install the latest drivers using
the instructions at: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/Video.html#drivers
