CD eject = system failure

Why is it that when I eject a CD it causes a system failure and I have to
turn off my Dell and start it up all over again. Doing a System Restore to
an earlier date isn't an option? The CDs that I'm using are stored Photos
and Documents. Any ideas?

Event Viewer may provide more details that might explain what happened.
It's a good all-around diagnostic tool and worth learning about.
