In most cases, this will be due to a hardware issue related to the drive.
But, it may also happen due to virus infection or software issues.
Therefore, I recommand you first perform a reinstallation of CD ROM drivers,
then perfom a virus scan. If the issue persists, we can assume that there
exists a hardware fault in the drive and you may contact a service provider
for get it serviced.
To reinstall the drivers, remove the CD drive from device manager and
