I continually receive a prompt saying that "This application has failed to start because cctrust.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

It also appears that my anti virus software is switched off, though i'm unsure whether the two things are related.

I would be very grateful to anyone who could help me remidy this problem?

Kind Regards

Which anti-virus software do you have, and when does the prompt appear - is it when you load a certain application or just constantly throughout the windows session?

Actually, let me guess - Norton Anti-Virus? If it is I'd really suggest using something else!

:D Ian, you is correct ... ;)

One will need Symantec's clean-up tool to rid you of the Norton virus. :thumb:

I'm guessing that you either do have a nastie of some sort, that has turned off Norton AV or Norton has gone on a coffee break.

More info is needed please.
