CATALYST 3.9 and MMC 8.7

Until today I had I working Radeon 9600 pro with Catalyst 3.8 and MMC
8.7 (used mainly to capture composite stream). And today I decided to
install catalyst 3.9 (because C&C Zero Hour did some black screens
during the game occassionally). So I deinstalled 3.8 and MMC 8.7. Then
I installed 3.9 and MMC 8.7 (both d/l from atitech.com) back. Radeon
seems to work ok, 3dmark03 goes thru, so does Sandra. But when I start
TV player it says there's a problem with graphics driver and I should
run "system check", which I did and it just confirms driver problems.
But everything else works ok! It just like MMC 8.7 wouldn't recognize
3.9 driver. Did anyone successfuly upgrade to 3.9 and MMC 8.7? I have
Asus A7v8x-x with windows 2000, directx 9.0b, latest WME.

Nothing but problems for me with the 3.9 drivers. MMC wouldn't work,
performance was horrible, and my games stopped working. Makes me wonder if
ATI tests the driver updates before they post them. I'm running the
AIW9800. The 3.7 drivers, which is what was available when I installed the
card, are working OK, although I am having some power issues with the card.

it seems to be the old story about DX9.
If you have installed it, TV does not work. There wa a workaround on this
newsgroup a couple of weeks ago.
You have to install an older version af an *tune.dll

I have an ATI AIW 9600 Pro with DX9 and the altests Catalyst and MMC
drivers and the TV works. However the DVD does not work... Any ideas
on what could be causing that?

Thanks
