Do I need to put the 2 RCA cables into the back of my
stereo Auxiliary input or output? I have only got the
input.

You need to connect the RCA jacks to your home stereo's OUTput somehow.
Find a couple of output jacks back there and connect the other end of the
cable to your sound card's line-in via a "Y" adaptor 1/8" mini-plug.

Another alternative: plug the two RCA cables into the back of your tape
deck's OUTput jacks!!!

I just used the headphone jack from my cheap stereo. Then ran a cable to my
sound card using a simple 1/8 plug on both ends. It works for me, I hope
this helps.
