Caps lock on types in lowercase

I was working on a C++ program in VB.net when I think I
held the shift key down too long. I message popped up.
I dismissed the message and tried to get back to what I
was doing. Then when I tried to scroll down using the
scroll wheel or the arrow keys everything was being
highlighted. I just wanted to scroll down, not highlight
everything.

When I typed things were being capitalized even though
the caps lock was off. Is this a windows feature or do I
have a hardware problem? How do I get it so I can type
again?

I think you have enabled one of the 'Accessibility' options, Sticky
Keys. Go to Control Panel, Accessibility Options, Keyboard page and
there is a box for this you can uncheck
