Can't view event logs or use System Explorers

When I try to look at the log of system/application
events under real-time protection, I just get a hourglass
cursor that never goes away.

In addition, when I go into Advanced Tools and select
System Explorers, a screen comes up but there is no list
of explorers for me to choose from. There's only an item
named 'Learn more about System Explorers'. How can I
access the actual System Explorer tools?

That took care of both problems.

Just out of curiosity, is this (the regsrv32 process
something that should have happened automatically during
the installation of AntiSpyware and didn't for some
reason on my computer?

I downloaded Microsoft Antispyware on two separate computers of mine. On
one, everything works, on the other I have the same problem as first indicted
in this thread. I followed the advice of Andre Da Costa, provided
immediately below and my computer (the one with problems with Antispyware)
responded:
LoadLibrary("msvbvm60.dll") failed. The specified moduele could not be found.
I am running Windows XP on a Dell Dimension 8200, and have uploaded the
Service Pack 2 for Windows.

Hope somebody has a suggestion for me.

Thanks

Stan - Dave M has given a source for the file, but I wonder whether it
simply isn't in the folder you were in when you typed the command..

Try this.

Go to a command prompt.

do cd \windows\system32

then

regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll

See whether that works.
