Do you have an installation CD or a recovery CD? Since none of the options
on the Advanced Options menu works, you have two choices. If you have an
installation CD do a repair install:

If what you have is a recovery CD or a recovery partition, then do a
recovery. Check the documentation for the computer or contact the computer
tech support for info on how to do this.

If you don't have a backup of data on the computer you should backup the
data now. There are several choices:

1. Take out the hard drive and install it in another Windows XP or 2000
computer and copy the data.
2. Create a Bart's PE disk, boot from that and copy the data to a flash
drive or external USB drive.
3. Download a bootable Linux distro of Knoppix. Create the bootable CD,
boot from that and copy the data to flash drive or external USB hard drive.
If the computer has two CD drives, one of which is a burner, then you can
use the k3b program on the Knoppix CD to burn the data to Cd.
4. Take the computer to a competent computer repair tech to recover the
data.

If you don't have a backup now is the time, after the computer is fixed, to
set up a backup routine so that you always have a full and complete backup
of important data. If you need info on how to do that, let us know.
