I keep getting this error message saying unable to send mail
Protocol POP3, Port: 110 Secure (SSL) No, Socket Error:10061, Error number
Ox800CCCOE

It started doing this right after downloading an upgrade of AVG antivirus
and it said I needed to download an upgrade of windos, so I downloaded both
upgrades and can't send or recieve e-mail since.

The restore only goes back to May 30. I need to go back to May 24. How do I
do that?
Thanks.

'Restore' isn't really the right way to go about fixing this since it does
not remove the underlying cause.

I suggest you uninstall AVG, then try Windows Mail again.
You may have to delete and recreate the mail account because it
probably is corrupted.
If this is successful, reinstall AVG, but be sure to choose custom install,
since that will enable you to deselect installation of its troublesome
email scanning module.

OK, I fixed it. I uninstalled AVG, and the e-mail started working. I
installed it again and it quit working. During the reinstall, it said there
was another antivirus installed that I should remove. So when the e-mail
quit working after the instalation of AVG the second time, I deleted the old
Norton antivirus that was installed with the computer when I bought it.
Removing the old Norton fixed the e-mail. So it must have been a conflict
between the two (AVG & Norton) antiviruses. Thanks for everyone's help.

Norton is very bad about leaving all sorts of tentacles in the system
after you uninstall it. Those can gum up the works. Always follow up
a Norton uninstall with their debris removal tool:

Please give us the exact and complete error message. What you have given is
missing some important information.

Having more than one antivirus program installed on the same machine
at the same time is not a good idea.

You can, however have more than one antispyware program installed
at the same time without problems.
