Can't Send or Receive Email

I am running Outlook 2003. I have 3 user accounts on this computer. Each
account uses Outlook 2003 for email. Two of the three accounts are able to
send and receive email, one is not, which is the main account with my
internet service provider. The other two which are sub accounts that I
created are able to send and receive with the same settings I have set up on
my main account in the E-Mail accounts section of Outlook 2003. Since Outlook
2003 doesn't have the change identity feature that Outlook Express has, under
the More Settings button in Outlook 2003 under the Outgoing Server tab I
checked Log on using: entered my user name and password and tested the
account settings and it worked for about a week. Then today I could not send
or receive email from this one account. I checked the other two which are set
up the same exact way and they are working fine. I can access my email
through Verizon online but can't get it to send or receive through Outlook. I
called Verizon, they told me it was an issue with Outlook. I have been
working on this all day and no luck, I even ran the Microsoft Office again to
see if it could repair any issues I am having. Help Please!

By the way here is the error messages I get:

Task 'incoming.verizon.net-Sending' reported error (0x80042109): 'Outlook is
unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to
receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP)'

Task 'outgoing.verizon.net-Sending' reported error (0x80042109): 'Outlook is
unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to
receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP)'

Sounds like either you're failing to authenticate to the outgoing server or
Vierizon changed the port on which the server listens.

Now this is strange, I just went to my laptop and set the same account up on
it in Outlook and it works fine. Do you think there is a conflict in how how
the main account and sub accounts are set up on my desktop computer?

I have now determined that it has to be either a glitch with Outlook and
running 3 user accounts or the settings I have placed on each account. How
should I set up the email accounts? Like I said I have one main account and 2
sub accounts. They are all set up the same way where it is checked that my
ISP requires user name and password to log on to the server so that each
account only downloads it's own email and not the other accounts email. Do
you have any suggestions?

I thinks so but can't see anything in your log to indicate what the problem
is exactly. I'd try removing all the accounts and adding them back one by
one to see where the problem is. It could be logging on 3 times but if you
say it works on your laptop then ...

What anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware programs are you running? I don't
know if this applies to you, but I disabled the Trend Micro Anti-Spam
Toolbar beta I was using to make my SP2 patched Outlook 2003 work again.
I did not need to reverse the service pack at all.
