Can't send email. Please help.

Does anyone know what the following error message means, and how to fix the
problem? All the sudden, I can't send emails out via my earthlink account,
but I can still receive them.

Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC65):
'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet Service Provider (ISP). The server responded '503 Valid RCTP TO
<recipient> must precede DATA'

Thanks for any input.

And what did your ISP tell you when you contacted them as per the
instructions?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
