can't send e-mail

When trying to send mail, I get an error message that
reads--smtp,port25,server(ssl):no,socket error:10060,error
number:0x800cccoe. Vista won't allow me to make Window my default e-mail
program. Please help.Thanks

That's not the complete error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
Do not attempt to retype or edit the error message.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
