can't receive/send mail in windows mail

An error box pops up stating:

the connection to the server has failed subject, "account:"
ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net", server 'imailhost.worldnet.att.net, protocol
SMTP, PORT: 435, secure (SSL):yes, socket error: 10060, error number:
0x800cccoE

The only thing I have done recent is ran a virus check on my whole system
using Norton antivirus.

Please help....not computer savy....Thanks!

If you're connecting via AT&T Worldnet, you settings are totally incorrect.

If you're connecting via another ISP (e.g., at a hotel or work), the
Outgoing (SMTP) port should be 465, not 435, according to at least one
source.

TIP: Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection and it may be causing your problem.
