Can't see pictures on certain web pages

When I access certain web pages I am
unable to see their pictures. I'm getting the little red x in a box. This
happens to me sometimes in email, and I've learned to deal with it, but
on webpages it almost makes going to them pointless. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

AVG needs to be updated. Badly.

says "This problem may occur if you view a Web page that references an image
that was saved from Adobe Photoshop 7.0 on Macintosh OS 10." I know for a fact
that this is not always the case for the problem created with IE6 SP1.
Is Microsoft either going to create a fix for the actual problem, or, if this
fix is for the actual problem, are they going to correct the verbage so people
are not misled into thinking it only fixes the problem as it is currently
stated? I would like to fix my browser, but it is still unclear if I should
apply the hotfix, or wait for the patch to come out.
Thanks,
