Can't save Outlook Passwords

When I use Microsoft Outlook on XP Pro, I have mine and my wife's emails set up as mail accounts. Each time I try and send/receive, it asks me for our passwords. I check the "remember password" box, but it doesn't save them. I go into Accounts and set the password there, also checking the "remeber passwords" box, apply the changes, and it still always asks me for passwords. What am I doing wrong? Dave
