"Can't Save a Movie"

The topic comes up often enough to warrant a new page on the website, so I
started one this morning. It's the Problem Solving... Can't Save a Movie
page.

Like anything, the better you understand what is going on, the easier it is
to do problem solving when things aren't going right. So the first part of
the new page simply describes how Movie Maker saves a movie file. Once that
is down right, I'll expand it to cover the next parts.

Any and all comments are welcomed.

Does "Save a Move" include all five choices in finishing
a movie? If so, personally, I'd like to know more about
the difference between saving to a DV-AVI file and
sending to DV camera.

Keep up the good work, trft

Thanks,

Yes, it should cover all five. The only difference I think would be that
saving it as a DV-AVI file would build it in place in the destination
folder. The export to camera would build it in the temporary folder/file and
then copy it to the camcorder - a process that involves more steps.

I'll be checking further to learn about any more differences.
