If you are selling it - it is better for you and the person you are selling
it to to wipe the entire hard disk drive and utilize the media that
originally came with the system to return it to an 'as shipped' state. Be
sure to give the new owners that media as well.

I don't usually make "me too" points, but this is so important that I want
to add my voice to Shenan's. If I were the person buying your computer, I
would reformat and reinstall Windows as soon as I got it anyway. Not to
accuse you personally of anything, but the buyer has no idea how the
computer has been maintained, what has been installed incorrectly, what is
missing, what viruses and spyware there may be, etc. I wouldn't want to live
with somebody else's mistakes and problems, possibility of kiddy porn, etc.,
and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else do either.

You mention a single problem. Who knows how many more there may be?

I agree with the good advice but it did not answer the question. I have had
programs not responde to the remove command anyone know why?

Actually - it *did* answer the original question - as the original poster
stated they were selling the computer and and *for that reason* they were
trying to remove some games. In the case given - selling the computer - the
answer given was the proper course of action.

Your situation may be different (sounds like you are not selling your
computer.)

Some applications in Add/Remove Programs list are missing Change and Remove
buttons?

#337 right side of page - Restore Change or Remove Programs

To use the Regedits: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click
it and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in
Notepad by right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Sometime applications do not place themselves in the Add or Remove Programs
control panel. Sometimes they have their own uninstallation application
(most do - and the control panel applet is just a front-end.) You can
usually find this by looking in their corresponding start menu folder and/or
their installation folder. Sometimes it is obvious (like uninstall.exe or
unwise.exe).
