Can't receive new emails on my outlook 2003 inbox??

Am having a problem with my outlook 2003, I cant receive any new email on my
INBOX I scanned my ost file thru SCANOST.EXE and I can see a lot of errors
writing in red and there was a link which I followed it took me to support.
Microsoft.com/?kbid=842284 there was two solutions:-
1- Creat a new .ost file(I followed all the steps). 2-Replace damaged
exchange server support files(I followed all the steps).
non of them worked?!!
am using outlook 2003 on client side and outlook 2000 on server side, I even
tried to repair and reinstall outlook 2003 from the cd but its not working!
What strange is I can receive emails from contacts which I assigned rules to
their emails! it means I only have a problem with INBOX synchronizing from
the server folder?

1. Accessing the same message store using 2 versions of Outlook will ALWAYS
cause problems. Or did you mean EXCHANGE 2000 on the server side?

2. If you send a message to yourself, do you receive any error messages or
NDRs? If yes, please post the exact error message or text of the NDR.

3. Can you access your mail in-box via OWA? Do you use a .pst file on any
machine that is set to pull mail from your server?

1-Yes I meant Exchange 2000 on the server side and outlook 2003 on the client
side.

Dear Milly,

Let me add 2 more things,

1-if I unchecked the CACHED EXCHANGE MODE I can see my new emails.

2-This problem start with one user and now the number of users facing this
problem is increasing, I even tried to update my windows but even after the
updating the problem still existing.
