Can't move mail to shortcuts in Office 2003. OK in Office 2000. ?

I used to be able to move mail off our server to my hard drive by dragging
and dropping in a shortcut. Office 2003 won't let me do that. Why did they
delete that option?

In Outlook 2000, On the left is "Other Shortcuts" which I was able to create
folders from "File System" which is my C: drive. Normally our mail is on the
company server. Mail is deleted once per month, so If I want to save it, I
have to put it on my C: drive. I could drag mail (from server) and drop in
the folders I created.
In Outlook 2003, when I try to create a folder, there is no option to
navigate to C: drive.
This is rediculous.

Correct. File system shortcuts in the Navigation Pane were removed from
Outlook 2003. Instead, create a shortcut to the folder you wish and place
it on your Desktop. Drag the Outlook message to that shortcut instead.
