Can't log into certain sites anymore

Diana

I don't know why, but all of a sudden I can't log into
and use the following sites:

http://www.usps.com
http://www.capitalone.com
http://www.verizon.com

I don't think its a problem with those sites and when I
ask them what's going on, they can't give me an answer
other than the canned "clean your cache, delete cookies"
runaround. I've downloaded the latest patch for IE6 - I
don't know what else to do!

For Verizon, I got the following error message:

The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach
and it cannot be displayed.

Search for a file named HOSTS (no extension) and rename it HOSTS.OLD .
