Can't install Windows XP

H

Hitchner

When I attempt to install XP on my PIII 400, the install
starts completely over when it reboots the first time. No
matter what I have done with the boot sequence, including
a complete reset of the bios. My computer was running 98
with no major problems. If you know of any tricks to make
this install work, please let me know. I have an ASUS P2B-
B motherboard with 128MB of RAM. My HDD was blank and
formatted (NTFS) when I started (40GB).

you probably have a faulty hardware device. my guess
would be either ram, or the video card. try replacing
both and see what happens.
