Can't install Automatic Updates after SP2

I received the tray notification that updates were ready to install and get
the following message after trying to install them:

Updates were unable to be successfully installed

Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool (KB873374)
Critical Update for Office XP on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB885884)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack
2 (KB834707)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
