Can't import contacts from Excel

I have office XP Verion 2002 and when I try to import addresses from Excel, I
get message I don't have required translator. It can't be found on the disk,
so I guess it's not part of the version I have. What's the best way for me
to upgrade? Everywhere I look, all I can find are complete replacements for
Office.

As far as I can tell, every Office XP installation contains the importers
and exporters for Excel. Did you go into Control Panel>Add and remove
Programs and see if the importers and exporters were installed?
