can't group issues in the taskbar

for some reason i can't seem to group similiar buttons in my taskbar. i
have the box checked in the task manager but it still will not group
them...do i have to do something in regedit?

Hi ROBERT,

You need to have at least 8 (I believe is the default) minimized windows in
order for the grouping to take effect.

You could add grouping options by d/loading and running this registry edit,
provided courtesy of Kelly Theriot:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm (line 149, right-hand side
--> Add Taskbar Grouping Options to the Start Menu)
Once you have run the edit, click on the Customize button for the Start
menu, then either:
a) scroll to locate the options in the "Advanced Start menu options" field,
if using Classic start menu
or
b) click on the Advanced tab, then scroll to locate the options in the
"Start menu items" field, if using XP Start menu
