Can't get cursor in weg page text box in IE6

I cannot enter text in text boxes on web pages under IE6. I have run VET AV,
no virus found, ran MSAntispy and removed spyware. I have removed damaged
Java runtime entries in active X objects under IE6 properties. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled IE6.
I cannot do a system restore as the caledar in sys restore is blank.
I can get a cursor in a text box with Opera.
Any ideas ? I'm stumped!
System is XP Home SP2 with IE6 SP1 on a Compaq Presario 2500.

Try the following and see if it helps:

Tools>Internet Options>General Tab
Click on Accessibility then
UNcheck "Format documents using my style sheet"

Cannot Type Text in Outlook Express or Internet Explorer
