Can't find web page

I recently lost one of my memory cards in my PC. I now only have 256MB RAM.
Now IE6 cannot find any web page, returns the 'Web page unavailable' error. I
am running Windows XP. Is this problem due to the loss of half my RAM or
could something else be happening? From the command window, I can ping web
sites okay so I know my connection, DNS, etc is working okay.

Start|Run
type

NETSH WINSOCK RESET

click OK
Reboot and see if that's helped
