CAN'T FIND MY PRODUCT CERTIFICATE NUMBER

I tried to re-install xp on my computer but have lost the certificate with
the
product key code
can anyone help me find it
is it in the registry?
or do i have to buy another copy of xp

any help would be much appreciated

If you can still boot to the Windows installation you can use a utility
like Magical Jelly Bean to retrieve the Product Key. If you cannot
logon but if the registry ist still intact you can retrieve the key
using the method here:
