I installed a new hard disk (SATA) and when i try to install Windows XP

I believe that you need to install drivers before Windows can see it
(I'm working from memory of when I installed a SATA drive in my
system).

Did a CD come with the drive?

Yes it has, and yes now is working. Every thing is fine.
