Can't find file in "Search"

I have an Outlook file buried under C:\Documents and Settings\name\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook1.pst.

I can see it by browsing to it, but when I do a search for it (or even
*.pst) it does not find it.

I have set my "View Folder" options to allow everything, including hidden
folders and system files, and applied to all folders.

What am I missing ?

Much as I like Windows XP, its Search function leaves quite a lot to be
desired. Instead, use the free search program of Agent Ransack, which
you can get here:

http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/

I install it on all my Windows machines.

Jim, there is nothing wrong with the windows search function. What you need
to do is to click Search, All files and folders then scroll down and click
"More advanced options" and check "Search system folders" and "Search hidden
files and folders". I don't believe changing the view folder options
applies to doing a search.
