I recently removed a virus that took over the IE6 "Can't
Display Page" error message and redirected my browser to
another site. After I removed that virus my browser will
only go to the "Can't Display the Page" error message.
I am now using Netscape to browse the Web until I can get
IE back running. No matter what site I try to visit, IE
stays at the Can'Display the Page error message.
I've updated the Internet Options within IE many times to
see if that was the problem. It did not help.
I've tried to re-install IE6. It said I had the latest
version and canceled the reinstall.
I've gone into the registry and changed DWORD to zero for
89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383 and tried to
reinstall IE6 and I still get the same error message on
any site I try to visit.
Are there any suggestions as to how I might get IE6 (or
any other version) up and running? I have several
applications that apparently work with IE and not
Netscape.
