Can't Display jpgs in Internet Explorer

Friday evening, when I started Internet Explorer, all of the jpg files on any
internet site were distorted. Since then I have gone through all types of
fixes, but nothing has helped. I have reformatted the drive several times,
then recovered from the HP CD. When the recovery is almost complete, the
screen gets distorted.

I am able to view jpgs in any other application and in Firefox, but all the
jpgs on Internet Explorer are distorted. I have installed all of the updates
from both HP and Microsoft. I just can't figure this one out. Anyone have
any ideas?
