Can't Dial Out Using Modem

Recently, when I try to dial out using OUTLOOK and a 56K USRobotics
FAX/modem I get an error message saying that another program is using
the telephonic device and I should come back and try again when the
program is finished using the modem. Trouble is I have no idea what
program is tying up the modem. Is there a way to determine which one
it is? Using OUTLOOK 2003, and Windoze XP Home SP-2.

This is a Windows dialer issue, not an Outlook issue.
You'll have more luck in you ask in Windows telephony group.
