Can't detect recordable drives

I have CD-RW and DVD-RW drives, but every time I go to svae the movie and
click on the "save to cd" option it says it can't detect the drives. Anybody
know how I can fix this??? I'm using the updated WMM from the XP service pack
2.

Hello,

Check MY COMPUTER > Manage and look at the drives in question...make sure
the option to Burn is actually enabled.

Or, Download the MM-FIXIT program and examine the properties that way...you
can change the properties with this utility...make sure you write down the
current settings before you alter them.....

I don't even bother w/the SAVE to CD option anymore..I need a couple of days
to complete my Video..so its a DV-avi File to the HDD/C:..and off to some
other Software...also you might have a tempermental software that will not
perfrom unless you LOAD all the ITEMS in it..my WMM2 will NOT find a DRIVE
except the HDD.
