Can't delete an shortcut from an uninstalled program

Hi, I am trying to delete a shortcut to an uninstalled program. vista
will not let me delete it saying "This is no longer located in C:\Users
\Publice\Public Destop" Verify this items loation and try again.

Well, I agree, but I just want to get rid of the shourtcut. Any
suggestions?

Try to refresh your desktop with the f5 key

Dang! That Worked! Shows you how often one needs to restart with
Vista! OK, 1 point for Vista over XP, less restarts.
